A. Friend's recommendation.
  I rang and asked for an estimate.
Q. How long that take?
A. He promised to call two days later,
  on a Wednesday at 6pm.
Q. When did he actually turn up?
A. Wednesday at 6pm.
Q. What happened next?
A. Dai rang a week or so later with
  an estimate and a starting date.
Q. Expect you waited months.
A. A little over a month forward.
  Start date was 6th October at 8am.
Q. Ah ... when did he really turn up?
A. 6th October at 8am.
Q. Expect they all went off after a few days.
A. He and his men worked a five
  day week from then on
Q. Turned up every day?
A Except one week.
Q. What happened?
A. They worked the Sunday as well
 Q. Think I've got a few jobs that
  need doing.  What's his number?
